The Turks and Caicos Islands experience great weather - always sunny and warm

Sunny Days

The Turks and Caicos Islands are an ideal setting for relaxing in the sand. The islands are warm and sunny most of the year, and a small amount of annual rainfall ensures it's almost always a great day for the beach.

These islands average 350 sunny days per year. The easternmost islands get the least rain, with only 21 inches of rainfall per year on Grand Turk and South Caicos. With such abundant sunshine, be sure to protect yourself from harmful rays with sunblock, light, layered clothing, and hats.

From November to May, temperatures average between 80 degrees Fahrenheit and 84 degrees Fahrenheit (27 Celsius to 29 Celsius) and in the summer months, April through October, temperatures will average as high as 90 degrees Fahrenheit, with highs into the mid 90s in the later months. The water, however, remains approximately 5 degrees cooler year-round. Though this might sound a little warm, the trade winds are constant and have a cooling effect when spending time on the beach.

Hurricane season has the islands on the lookout for storms from June through October. However, these storms are not generally a problem. The Caribbean region is larger than it seems, and storms rarely hit any of the islands directly. They are more likely to be brushed by outer bands of the storm.

With few exceptions it's safe to say the forecast for the Turks and Caicos will be bright and sunny.
