Travelers to the Turks and Caicos Islands will need to visit the post office on Providenciales whether they're sending a postcard or large package home.
Stamps for postcards cost:
$0.50(USD) for the United States
$0.60(USD) for Canada and the United Kingdom
$1.25(USD) for Australia and New Zealand
Letters are weighed, and weight will determine the stamp price:
$0.60(USD) per half ounce to the United States
$0.80(USD) cents per half ounce to Canada and the United Kingdom
$1.40(USD) per half ounce to Australia and New Zealand
Mail services may not be the speediest, and many travelers get home before their postcards and letters do. Visitors from the United States and Canada can expect airmail to take between one and two weeks, and surface mail between four and six weeks. Airmail to the United Kingdom can take two to three weeks, while travelers from Australia and New Zealand will have to wait as long as one month for their mail to reach home. For faster mailing options, visit FedEx on both Providenciales and Grand Turk Islands.
A note for stamp collectors: The Turks and Caicos Philatelic Bureau, 649-946-1534, has a wide range of island stamps to offer.
Shipping a piece of paradise home is easy in the Turks and Caicos, but your parcels could easily get back well after you do
