Turks and Caicos will require passports of all visitors, and visas of a select group

While the Turks and Caicos Islands are a laid-back tourist destination, visitors will find entry rules to be strict.

Travelers visiting from the following list of countries will need to carry their passport to enter the islands:

Travelers not from these countries and territories will to contact the nearest British embassy to learn about visa requirements. Visas are required for residents of some countries for entry into the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The only exception to this is Canada, from which citizens may enter Turks and Caicos with only a birth certificate and government-issued identification card.

Everyone planning to vacation in Turks and Caicos must be prepared to present customs officials with a return or onward ticket, and note that they may only stay on the island for 30 days at a time.

Planning ahead will be your only ticket into Turks and Caicos, but with a little forethought, you will soon be on your way to your dream vacation.
