Turks and Caicos Health and Medical

Health and medical concerns should be considered when vacationing in Turks and Caicos

Beware the Heat

When visiting the Turks and Caicos Islands, the biggest health risks you'll take will be from heat and sun exposure.

From sunburn to dehydration and even heat exhaustion, it's best to take strong precautions: Wear sunscreen, cover up, and wear a hat to protect your face; you'll also want to drink lots of water.

However, should anything more serious occur, turn to community clinics located on most of the islands. Providenciales has an emergency care clinic, and a small hospital operates on Grand Turk.

Rest assured that quality medical care is never far when you're in the Turks and Caicos.
