With only two real casinos in the Turks and Caicos Islands, gambling options are relatively limited here. However, visitors will find several bars and other nighttime hot spots throughout this group of small islands that sometimes have slot machines.
The main casinos of the Turks and Caicos Islands are located on Providenciales, or "Provo," which is the country's main tourist hub. Provo is the most well-known of the little islands that make up Turks and Caicos, and here travelers will find various forms of entertainment and attractions, as well as top-notch restaurants and an array of accommodations options. The Turks and Caicos Islands aren't particularly known for their exciting casino gambling, but if you want to include gaming action in your vacation, you may enjoy visiting the two casino in this region.
Casablanca Casino is located at the Grace Bay Club and features nearly 100 slot machines. Live gaming also takes place here, with blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, and poker tables available. One of the unique features of the facility is the Infinity Bar, which is a pool bar that gives off the impression that the water flows directly into the ocean. Casablanca Casino is open from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, with extended hours during the high season, and Texas Hold 'Em Tournaments are held each day at 8 p.m. As a bonus, free transportation is offered to and from the casino to all guests staying at any hotel or resort in Providenciales.
In December of 2006, Providenciales welcomed the Players Club to the island. This newer facility has over 100 computerized gaming machines, including poker, roulette, and blackjack, rather than live game tables. Slots machines are available as well. Located at the Queen Angel Resort in Turtle Cove, the Players Club is open between the hours of 4 p.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Vacationers from the United States felt a sense of patriotism when visiting what was once the islands' only casino. The American Casino on Provo was located on the premises of the Allegro Resort in Grace Bay, but when the resort closed in 2004, so did the casino.
After you've visited the Casablanca Casino or Players Club, you may enjoy some of Provo's other attractions. Try stopping by the Princess Alexandra Marine Park to meet JoJo the bottlenose dolphin, who has lived in the waters off of North Caicos for about 10 years. This charming marine mammal follows boats around the marina and is probably the most photographed aquatic animal in the region. You may also enjoy star-gazing at the gorgeous nighttime sky, which boasts spectacular nebular sightings like Polaris just above the northern horizon and a great view of the Milky Way. You can also enjoy golf, shopping, and, of course, some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean while vacationing on Provo or any of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
